November 28, 2009Headlights On The Highway Chapter 11
I hadn't even thought of this. It was all confusing but the answer pulled it's way through. 'Of course. Yes I will!' I jumped, happily. He stood up, sliding the ring on my finger. I was going to be Mrs Hayley Farro.
THE NEXT MORNING.
I had called everyone I knew that night. Telling them I was getting married, Josh was back to his normal self too. The engagement was getting to him. He was pretty nervous, who could blame the guy? He was asking me to marry him. 'Where's Hayley?' Asked Zac, after talking with Josh in the other room. 'She's in the kitchen, looking at bridal magazines.' Josh smirked, in a sarcastic way. Zac ran through the room, giving me the biggest hug we had ever shared. 'Whoa, thanks Zac.' I gasped, 'What was that for?' 'Well, you know soon we'll be related and...' He began, 'It's gonna be so much fun.' I didn't have the same perspective as Zac. I mean, I love Josh. It's just not like anything's gonna change massively. I'll just be a Farro and I'll be married. Okay, maybe I needed to put on my girly shoes for a second.
LATER THAT DAY.
'So...' I sighed, sitting next to Josh on the bed. He glanced over, opening his arm for me to move into. 'So...' He copied, kissing the top of my hair. 'Are we gonna set a date...for the wedding?' I asked. 'Yeah. I guess it depends.' 'On what...?' 'Whether you wanna be a Summer or Winter Bride.' It's October at the moment. Summer or Winter? 'I'm gonna say Winter, cause it's more...romantic.' I gushed, he laughed silently with his eyes. 'And are we going to have a long or short engagement?' He asked, like a trivia game. 'It's completely up to you. I'm happy with marrying you whenever.' He pulled me up to face level and pressed his lips softly against mine. 'Are you trying to distract me?' I asked, eyes still closed. 'I have ideas, Hayles, but they can wait.' He whispered, running his hands through my hair, holding my neck as he kissed me passionately again. I wondered if things would be the same when we were married. Would we still be as close as we were now?
He was very subtle about removing my clothes. I was sure he was trying to distract me from the wedding plans. After all, I've always been easily distracted. ___________________________________ Sorry it was a crappy chapter... November 27, 2009Headlights On The Highway Chapter 10Chapter 10...Yay. It took me forever to write this, I was changing it several times but I think its good now. OKay, here it is.
3 WEEKS LATER. I jumped down from the van, pulling up at my apartment. Walking around to the back, I pulled up the back and grabbed a box and took it inside my house. Meeting me in the doorway was my new roommate. 'I can't wait for you to live here.' I smiled, kissing him quickly. He didn't seem as happy as I was. For a few days he had been quiet off with me. I put it down to moving nerves. 'Me neither.' He walked past taking a box in. 'Hey!' I said, 'What's wrong?' 'Nothing. Why?' He looked curious, like it was nothing really. 'You don't seem happy.' 'I'm great.' He laughed, kissing my forehead, running out to the truck. He was taking it back to the place we rented it from. Ever since I had been spending more time with Josh, he always seemed happy then sad, and if I mentioned it, he would be happy within ten minutes. That's when it hit me. He wasn't happy living with me. I mean, he suggested it. Hayley! Your becoming paranoid. But my mind wasn't gonna stop me. I followed Josh in my car, staying a few cars behind, I needed to talk to him. My mind kept playing games on me. Was he seeing someone behind my back? Uhh. I wish I knew. I braked as he turned into a shopping parking lot. Several people walked to meet him, giving him a small package. No. It couldn't be. I was dating Josh, who was dating drugs. I assumed. The people looked smartly dressed, in suits or smart clothing. They hardly looked like drug dealers. But this explained all his moods. No, Hayley. It could be anything. Just leave it alone. Watching him get back into the truck with the package. My nightmare was coming true. I drove back to the house and starting unpacking Josh's things. I would help him get through this. If he needed help. 'Hayley. I'm...home. Wow, it felt weird saying that.' Josh called from the front door. 'Josh, can you come to the kitchen?' He walked in. No package in sight. 'What's up?' He casually asked, taking a cake from the table. 'You don't keep anything from me, do you?' I asked, his face looked stern. 'What's brought this on?' He asked, biting the cake harshly. 'I wanna know that you wouldn't keep any secrets. That there isn't anything you couldn't tell me. Just say it now.' He paused, 'Yeah, there is something, I've never told you.' 'Like what?' I asked, folding my arms. 'You make excellent cakes.' He mumbled, kissing me before going upstairs. That was not what I was after. Anyways, they were store bought. I'd unpacked most of his things, only his clothes left now. I took them upstairs and his toiletries to the bathroom. The door was slightly open, but I could sense someone in there. I put the box down and looked through the open space in the door. It was Josh, sitting on the edge of the bath. Strange. 'Are you okay?' I asked, bringing his stuff in. 'What are you doing in here?!' He lashed out. This was not my Josh. 'What the crap, Josh! Don't talk to me like that!' I screamed, dropping his stuff all over the floor. Everything was silent for a moment. Josh's face froze. He had never heard me shout like that. I broke the silence. 'Why'd you lash out?' 'Sorry. It's been a rough day.' He sighed, rubbing his forehead, unveiling a small box in his hand. 'Without your fix?' I cheekily asked, grabbing his arm. 'What are you on about?' He asked and grabbed my arm, as I tried to walk away. 'Let me go, Josh.' I cried, trying to get out. 'Why are you annoyed?' He asked, showing me the box. Stupid Hayley. He wasn't doing drugs. It was an engagement ring box. He slowly bent down on one knee in my bedroom, my mouth fell open. 'Hayley Williams, will you marry me?' He asked, looking up at my glowing face. _________________________________________________________ Hehe. I'll be updating tomorrow of course! Comments Plz! P.S ! I couldn't believe Chad had kinapped Josh. I mean, who does that in modern times? 'Jeremy? I need to borrow your car.' I asked. He handed the keys, on one condition. Him and Zac and Taylor had to come aswell. 'Buckle up, guys.' Jeremy chuckled, speeding ahead, 'Hayley read this!' He passed me a note Chad left. CALL OFF THE WEDDING. MEET ME WHERE WE FIRST MET. YOU AND JOSH SWITCH PLACES. HE IS FREE. YOU STAY WITH ME. Hey, that rhymed. Anyways. 'Okay, go to Franklin music store.' I hestitated, remembering where we met. We arrived in hardly no time. The store was open and Chad's car out front. I jumped out the passenger seat, looking into Chad's car. There was ropes and tape inside. We raced into the store, seeing Chad holding a chair with Josh on. 'Okay Chad. Games over, let him go.' I supposed I looked wierd in my wedding gown walking in a shop. 'He goes, you stay. We get married today and move to LA. Get away from all these bunch.' He seemed very angry. 'Hayley, I called the cops. Don't do anything.' Jeremy whispered. 'Fine.' I hesitated again, 'Let him go. I'll stay.' Josh whimpered in his tux. Chad ripped the tape off his mouth. 'I'm so sorry.' I cried, running over to Josh, hugging him tightly. 'FREEZE!' A voice called, 'PUT YOUR HANDS IN THE AIR AND DROP ANY WEAPONS.'
3 Months Later.. Looking back on our wedding day, it seemed like yesterday. We did get married that very day. It worked out magical. 'The guys are here!' Josh called, walking to meet me in the kitchen. Our kitchen in our home. 'And hows my lovely wife?' He asked, wrapping his arms around my back. 'She and..' I pointed to my stomach, 'Baby, are doing fine.' Yes, we were expecting our first child. A girl I hoped. I'd call her... Well, you'll just have to wait and see... _________________________________________________________________________

Headlights On The Highway Chapter 10
I woke up. Gasping for air, feeling pain shoot through my skin. I could see nothing but black ahead of me, with a tiny white light getting nearer and nearer, unveiling a picture of a nurse, shining a light in my eyes. 'Miss Williams!' He said, 'It's nice to see your awake, I'll get your doctor now.' I was led in a little room, on the most uncomfortable bed. It was 4pm, but it was 7pm the day of the crash. How long had I been out? 'Miss Williams, how are you?' A cheerful man called Doctor Morris asked. 'Um, should I say in a lot of pain?' I replied. 'Well, considering...Yes.' 'What happened?' 'You were in a car crash, you flew out the windscreen and in the middle of the road...but a passerby called 911.' 'What day is it?' I mumbled, feeling the after effects. 'You've been unconscious for a week, Miss Williams.' He checked through the chart. 'Oh my god. Where's Jeremy?!' I pleaded, trying to sit up. 'I assume you mean the boy in the accident with you?' 'Yeah.' I nodded. 'He was fine. Just a knock to the head and a small fracture in his wrist.' I was relieved. I was so glad I hadn't hurt him. 'How did you know who he was?' I wondered. 'Your boyfriend told me about him,' 'I don't have a boyfriend...' 'Oh, sorry. It's just he visited everyday and... never mind. Get well soon, Miss Williams.' I knew that was Josh. How I missed him. The room was filled with balloons and cards, I leant over, painfully, and grabbed a handful of cards. From Jeremy, Zac, Taylor, Josh, Mom. So many. I peer out the door, seeing Josh leaning over the reception desk, talking to the doctor, who pointed at me. Josh's eyes sparkled as he ran to the room. 'Your awake. I'm so glad your okay.' He hugged me so tight, but the pain was good. I needed that. 'Ouch.' 'Oh, Sorry.' 'So I just wanted to thank you. For coming everyday...' I whispered, as he held my bandaged hand. 'I did it cause I love you.' He smiled, slowly leaning to kiss my lips. His breath smelt like candy. His lips tasted like sugar. 'You've been eating candy.' I giggled. 'Practically living off it.' He truthfully confessed. 'I thought we weren't dating, Josh. But the doctor said you called me your girlfriend.' I blurted out. Turning it awkward. 'I didn't think I wanted this, Hayles. I thought it was too soon to care about someone this deeply again.' I nodded, my eyes filling with tears. 'But I can't live without you.' He confessed, 'I won't.' 'Duh. You don't have too, I am alive!' I laughed, throwing my arms around him. ___________________________________________________ More updates tomorrow. xo Silver comments plz!

November 24, 2009Headlights On The Highway Chapter 9
'So this meant nothing?' I demanded, angrily; 'WE meant nothing?' 'I didn't say that Hayley.' He soothed, keeping calm. How could he be freaking calm? 'Josh, we slept together last night. Now you're telling me that we have to end things?' 'It's really not like that Hayley. It's just, there is always gonna be more than 2 people in this relationship.' 'The guys? Yeah, Jeremy already tried to get us together. And it worked.' 'I love you, Hayley. But I don't want this.' That moment; the magic stopped. My heart had torn right down the middle. Just when I thought I couldn't be in anymore pain. A single tear dropped from my eye and splashed on the floor. 'I love you too, Josh.' I cried, 'Obviously not enough.' The rest of the trip was agony. I avoided Josh the next 24 hours. Sat on my own on the plane and drove back in my car with Jeremy. 'Hayley, something's wrong, right?' He wasn't good with sad moments. 'Maybe.' I sniffed, 'How'd you know?' 'You've been playing sad songs all the way back to Tennessee.' 'Sorry.' 'It's Josh, right?' 'Jeremy, I don't wanna talk about it.' 'Did he hurt you?' He got more serious. 'No.' 'So it's not about him?' 'It's about Josh, okay! We kissed and he told me he loved me and.. now he told me that we can't be anything.' He frowned. 'Jeez. That dude has problems. But, you know that's not true.' 'What?!' I exclaimed, 'I just told you he crushed me and..' 'Hayley, have you ever thought he just doesn't wanna hurt you?' 'That's ridiculous! He could never hurt me.' 'Then he doesn't know what he's missing out on. Give him some time.' I sighed. Fed up. Tired, I just needed to sleep. Focusing on the road just wasn't on my mind. Until everything went black...
My life was flashing before my eyes, all I saw were blinding lights on the highway, hitting my vision. The car might have tipped a few times, I looked to Jeremy, he wasn't awake. Wasn't breathing. And soon, neither was I. ________________________________________ Omg! chapter 10 soon!

November 22, 2009Headlights On The Highway Chapter 8Chapter 8 ! :)
THE NEXT MORNING. I had a weird feeling as I woke. Warmth. Unlike any other morning I had woken alone. But this morning was special, because the bare arms wrapped around me belonged to Josh Farro. I suppose I should be thanking the hotel for giving us this room, otherwise last night wouldn't have happened. It was a shock to think it did. Now our so innocent friendship would never be the same again. As the fans would say; we were now, Joshayley. 'Morning.' He whispered, burring his head into my hair, kissing my neck. I turned to face him, leaning my head against his chest, I could hear is heart beating faster as I kissed him back. 'I could lay here forever.' I whispered. 'Me too.' KNOCK KNOCK. Wait, who was that? We never ordered room service. 'Guys, its Taylor!' 'And Zac and Jeremy!' Oh my god. I shot faster than a dart. 'Give me a second, I just took a shower!' That was lame, Hayley. We pulled our clothes back on, and put a blanket on the sofa to look like Josh had slept there. 'Hey guys!' I said, opening the door wide, 'Come in.' 'I thought you weren't coming...' Josh said disappointed, I giggled at his enthusiasm. 'We thought we'd spend the day here, then go back with you tomorrow, but the manager said you'd changed rooms.' Uh-oh. Zac is catching on. 'They made us switch cause you guys weren't here, they gave us 1 bedroom, can you believe that?!' I exclaimed, putting on a very convincing show. 'So I slept on the couch.' Josh pointed to the blanket. Jeremy looked confused, like he believed the story, that we hadn't been together at all. 'Hayley? Can I talk to you outside?' Jeremy asked, pulling my elbow. 'Sure.' Outside... 'I sent you here to tell Josh how you feel about him! Why didn't you do that?' He demanded. 'Jer, you can't play match maker...' 'Fine.' He sighed, 'Anyways, lets get on with this holiday!' We started to walk back when I surprised Jeremy. 'Hey Jer,' I pulled myself to his ear, 'How'd you know nothing happened?' His face froze. Stunned. 'So guys, what do you wanna do today?' I asked, walking back into the house. 'Jacuzzi!' 'Pool.' 'Massage.' Okay. 'Maybe we should all do our own thing and meet up here later?' I asked. Everyone seemed to agree. I planned to go and get that facial-thing. 'I'm Kim, and I'll be your beautician today.' Kim said, pulling up the table. I wore my tank top and shorts to the mini salon. 'Okay. I'm Hayley.' 'Oh, gosh. Your Hayley Williams aren't you?' She asked. 'Um, yeah.' I thought I recognised that expression, she knew Paramore. 'I love Paramore. So does my friends, your awesome. So who are you here with?' 'The guys from the band, it's a little get together thing.' I explained. She nodded and rubbed a honey smelling lotion on my face and neck. It smelt a little like strawberries when it was finished. 'Oh my god. Your Josh Farro!' I heard, as Kim was cleaning up. I sat up and glanced toward the door, he was standing in the doorway. He smiled. It looked like he wanted to talk to me. 'Hey, Kim. Can we have a minute?' 'Sure.' She said, 'I'll see you around.' 'You know it's gonna be hard once we get home.' Josh blurted out. 'Huh? What are you on about?' 'Us.' 'How is it gonna be hard?' I asked. 'Our families knowing.. and plus; my family still think I am dating Becca.' Becca. I knew she had something to do with this. This was the first time my heart thumped, tearing a little. 'Why did you have to bring her up?' I asked, sliding off the bed. 'Cause she lives in Franklin, we are bound to run into her.' He was right, but it was more than that, I could tell. I walked over to him and hugged him for a second. 'What's really wrong, Josh?' 'I couldn't live with myself if I ever hurt you. That's why this can't really happen.' There it was again. My heart thumped and tore a little. My heart was breaking, and I never knew how physically painful it was. _________________________________________________________________ xo Silver ! Comments Plz .. :D

November 21, 2009Headlights On The Highway Chapter 6 AND 7chapter 6 anyone?... :) I added chapter 7 cause of everyone saying they wanted more!
4 Hours later we had reached our destination. It was a spa cabin with several cosy sofas and several bedrooms. Seen as it had been planned for 5. 'Awesome. In the morning, I so wanna go in that outdoor pool.' Josh yelled from his bedroom. 'I think I'm gonna hit the spa. Get a girly facial or something.' I said, unsatisified. Planning on getting to bed early was a great idea. I was half way getting unchanged when I heard a tiny creak behind me. 'What the crap are you doing?' I asked, seeing him staring at my half naked behind. Well, I was wearing underwear and a bra. Matching in a dark blue. (If you were wondering.) 'Uhh.' Was all he could say, now I turned around, revealing my other side. I planned to grab something, anything to cover myself up, but instead I stood there, baring it all to my best friend. 'Um. Sorry.' He whispered, after what seemed like forever. He turned away, shaking his head walking back to his room. THE NEXT MORNING. I was in the breakfast bar, I called a mini kitchen, helping myself to cold pancakes. Yum. I added chocolate spread as Josh walked into the kitchen, wearing just his pyjama bottoms, his bare chest showing. 'Morning. Sleep well?' I slightly muttered a laugh under my voice. 'Yeah.' But it seemed there was more he wanted to say. 'Want something to eat?' 'Hayles, don't pretend last night didn't happen.' He sighed. 'You make it sound like we slept together or something. You only saw me in my underwear.' I laughed it off. 'It wasn't funny.' He frowned. 'Why are you so uptight about it? Are you "scarred for life" now?' He cracked a smile. 'No. I just didn't mean to just stand there and stare.' Ha. 'Hey, I can't blame you. I look good.' I did a little spin. 'You did.' He whispered. 'What?' I asked, as he walked back to get changed, he didn't reply. After breakfast, it had gone 11am and Josh still hadn't come out of his room. I started to wonder about the other guys. I decided to call Jeremy. 'Hey. Sorry, hope I didn't wake you.' 'No, I'm just watching TV,' 'Family emergency?' I asked, trying to ring a bell. 'Oh, yeah that's okay now.' He remembered. 'Jeez, you could have been more believable!' I complained, 'What were you thinking?' 'I was thinking it was time you two confessed your feelings.' 'That will never happen, Jer. I'll talk to you later.' I couldn't believe him. This holiday had it's downs, but mostly it's ups. I could hear Josh in his room, I thought he was eating. But he sounded closer. I left my room to see him at the breakfast bar. 'Thought you weren't hungry?' I asked, seeing him in his swim trunks. 'Just grabbing a bite before I go for a swim. You wanna come?' 'Sure. I'll throw something on and meet you there.' I pulled on my best bikini. I didn't know why I put the best one on. I exited the room wrapped in a towel to see Josh had already gone. Walking from the room, I could see the spa, and the pool. And a figure sitting on the edge. 'I'm here.' I said, his head turned around. 'Great.' He slid into the pool making a splash on my legs. 'HEY! WATCH IT!' I laughed, dropping my towel. His eyes sparkled like diamonds. 'You gonna get in or what?' He asked, snapping out of it. I smiled, making a cannonball shot into the pool. 'You know what?' I asked, swimming up to Josh, 'I called Jeremy earlier, and he made the whole thing up to get us here together.' I didn't have to say anymore before he understood. 'That's just like him.' He laughed, tucking my hair behind my wet ears. 'You remember that night, in the park?' I asked, shivering. 'Yeah, I do.' 'Well I said, I'd be whatever you needed me to be.' 'Uh-huh.' He wasn't getting the picture. Maybe if I asked the blunt question... 'Josh?' I pursed my lips, 'Will you kiss me?' His face turned serious and he put his cold hands on my waist, making me jump. He pulled me slowly nearer and smiled into a short, but sweet kiss. 'Is that the kinda kiss you were hoping for, Miss Williams?' 'I dunno...' I teased, 'Maybe you should do it again.' All in that one moment, it was like the world had stopped spinning and everyone and everything was silent, and I waited for the magic to begin. I wrapped my arms around his neck, bringing his lips to mine again. His hands caressed my back, as I realized that a pubic pool wasn't the place for this. 'As much as I'd love to make out with you all day, this is a public pool.' 'Damn.' He laughed, pulling me to a hug. 'So...are you gonna tell Jeremy he was right, or should I?' 'Ha, Ha. We'll think of something to get him back.' He whispered, his arms wrapped around me like towers. The air was cool around us, as we floated in the pool. It wasn't summer weather, but it was a warm breeze. The sky was dark, put the pool lights made it light underwater. 'Miss Williams?' The assistant asked, walking to the edge of the pool. 'Yeah?' I asked, sitting up straight. 'There's another occupant that has a big family, and seen as your friends haven't shown, we were wondering whether you and your...boyfriend would move to a small room?' I glanced at Josh, who just seemed happy since we kissed, his emotion hadn't changed. 'Of course, that's fine.' I smiled. She handed me the new keys. LATER THAT EVENING. We dragged our suitcases to the new room, upon opening, it didn't seem a lot smaller, until we went searching for the bedrooms. Oh, let me correct myself. One bedroom, One Bed. One problem. 'Crap.' Was the cleanest thing I could think of. 'Do you want me to ask for another room?' Josh asked, planting a kiss on my neck. It was hard to say anything. 'No, we can make this work, right?' I asked. He nodded. I emptied my suitcase into the wardrobe and turned the plasma screen on. 'Hey Josh, That's What You Get is on MTV.' He smiled and walked over to the settee I was led on. I moved over giving him some room. 'One more day of Paradise and then back home..' I sighed. 'So we'd better make the most of it, right?' I nodded, knowing exactly what his seductive tone meant.

November 20, 2009Headlights On The Highway Chapter 5Here is Chapter 5. It gets reallly good soon, I pre-wrote most of the chapters so... YAY!
THAT MORNING.. 'Did you guys hear, like, saucy noises last night?' Josh asked, as I kept my distance from the room so I didn't get involved in the conversation. 'Maybe someone left the TV on?' Jeremy asked, scoffing cereal before we headed out to our last show. 'It just sounded really close to my bunk.' 'Surround Sound these days, eh?' Taylor laughed, shrugging it off. 'Hayley. Didn't you hear it, remember I woke you up?' Josh asked, seeing me behind the curtain. 'Oh yeah. I didn't hear anything but you did wake me up.' Jeremy shot me a glare, like he knew something. I made myself look pointless, like I didn't know why he was staring. He backed off. 'Ready?' Zac asked, opening the bus door. We were home, Franklin. 'Ready as we'll ever be..' AFTER THE SHOW.. 'HAYLEY, HAYLEY!' Ringed in my ears as I hit into my dressing room door. 'Hey, watch out. You can't be to careful.' Josh caught me just before I damaged my face with the door. Then something clicked in my head. 'Oh my god. You are amazing!' I hugged him tight for a second then locked myself in the dressing room door, writing down the lyrics that came into my head. ##You can't be to careful anymore, When all that's waiting for you, won't come any closer, you have to reach out a little more..## 'Hayley. It's time to go home, remember you have to pack for our trip..?' Jeremy asked, knocking on my door. 'That's okay. I am done.' I puffed, 'I just wrote a song in 25 minutes while the stage was packed up, I feel awesome.' I opened the door. 'Oh, I thought Josh usually helped.' 'He did. A lot more than he knows.' I smiled, trying to walk away, but he caught me by the shoulder. 'You can't date Josh.' 'What the crap Jer?' I tried to hide my real emotion. 'I know you like him. But he has just broken up with Becca.' 'That was nearly a month ago!' I reminded him, 'Anyways, I don't like Josh in that way.' 'Fine. I'll believe you.' He giggled, 'But just because..' 'I'm adorably cute?!' I grinned, 'Why thank you!' AT HOME. PACKING FOR SOMEWHERE COLD. We were heading to the cold part of America. I didn't quite know the name but I knew that me and my best friends were going. I had to be at the airport in 1 hour. Packing was physically hard to do. We were kinda treating ourselves to a spa sort of thing. So I needed a bikini, some shorts. Oh, crap. It's cold. Umm, and Jeans and T-shirts. AIRPORT. I WAS FIRST FOR A CHANGE. 'Hayley. Sorry I'm late.' Josh rolled in, with his suitcase. 'It's okay. Your second here.' My mobile blared, Jeremy's ringtone. 'Hayley. We're so sorry, I have a.. family emergency and Zac and Taylor can't make it.' He played out. 'I don't believe you. What are you playing at, Jer?' 'Go without us. Have a lovely time!' He hung up. He was trying to pull us together. Sneaky little.. 'What was that all about?' Josh snickered, hearing my mumbled swear words. 'Jeremy has some kinda family emergency and Taylor and Zac can't make it. They said go ahead.' 'We'd better get going then. If you're okay with it?' He asked. 'Not a problem. Let's get going..' This was either gonna be hell, having to keep myself away from him. Or the best holiday ever, giving into my temptation. ____________________________________________________ Can't wait for you too see the holiday scene, its soooo good! :) comments plz!

Headlights On The Highway Chapter 4Here is the 4th instalment in Headlights On The Highway. & if u want the song that matches the story, go to youtube, com and type in *Ron Pope - headlights on the highway* its amazing. xo silver
That night, the bus was on the move again. It was 2pm and I just couldn't sleep.. excitement I guess. I curled up on the sofa, with a blanket and my lyric book. I put down my pen for a few seconds and leant my head against the window, watching the headlights passing on the highway. I was then distracted by the thought of a song in my head. All the traffic seemed so free, though all the lights seemed to rely on each other to get along. It gave me an idea for some lyrics. Then I got distracted. 'Hayles, whatcha doing up this late?' Josh asked, scooting down by my feet. 'I could ask you the same thing.' I laughed, 'Excitement, for me. I can't wait for our trip, I guess.' 'I was thinking, I mean in my sleep.' Josh cut in, 'That we could do a few cover songs in our tour.' 'Oh, what songs were you thinking of?' I asked, sheepishly. 'Acoustic, maybe with just the guitar or piano?' 'Sounds great. We can also play "my heart" if were getting the piano out.' He smiled at my great idea. We could always make great ideas together. 'So, what songs do you wanna play?' I asked, opening up my laptop. 'How about Cool, by Gwen Stefani?' He asked, 'And you can pick one aswell, I just like that song on the piano.' He did like that song. It was the first song I played for him on the piano when I was younger. 'Gwen Stefani, Cool.' I added, 'I love that one too.' He smiled along. THAT MORNING. 'Let's practise that song.' I said, as me and Josh entered the rehearsal studio. It was a small room, with instruments and microphones. He started to make a tune with the guitar that fitted the song, as I played out the piano notes. #Its hard to remember how it felt before, now I found the love of my life. Passes things get more comfortable, everything is going right. # 'You sounded beautiful.' Josh soothed, smiling while tuning the guitar. 'You weren't to bad yourself.' I giggled. The lyrics replayed in my head the rest of the day. "I know we're cool" I wanted to know why Josh had picked this song for me to sing. When I originally played the song, he loved it so much. It wasn't a 'Paramore' type song, but the fans loved anything we played. THAT NIGHT. Time was going by so fast, we had only 2 more shows left before our trip. I was so thrilled to be taking a well earned break, with my best friends with me. I dreamt of a cabin, winter wear and all of us in a snowed scenery. Anything could happen in my dreams, I played along with my feelings. I walked up to Josh. We interlinked fingers and soon the whole world melted away. We were kissing passionately, one thing leading to another. WOAH. Hayley stop what the hell you are doing. You cannot dream about Josh. Snap out of it. 'Hayles, are you okay?!' I heard, coming from the isle in another bunk, I pulled back the curtain, unveiling Josh looking worried. 'Yeah. I'm fine, why?' I asked, 'Just sleeping.' 'Someone said my name, in a weird way..' He laughed, Uh-Oh. What did I say? 'Weird way?' 'Like, Oh Josh..' He made a gooey romantic voice. 'I think you're hearing things.. night Josh.' I blushed, pulling back the curtain. That was the night I knew. I was falling in love with Josh Farro. And he had no idea. ________________________________________________________________ The next few chapters are a MUST READ. Thats when it gets very Joshayley ! xo silver Thanks to everyone for ur comments. They mean the world! :)

November 19, 2009Headlights On The Highway Chapter 3OMG! This story is going fassssttt! I've already pre-written most of it, so heres chapter 3!
'Just the brief story, Becca cheated and we're through. I don't really wanna talk about it.' Josh stated, everyone understood. --You want him for yourself. You're a cow Hayley- 'Who's it from?' Josh asked, trying to steal my phone from me, he succeeded. He read it several times before looking at me, then back at the text. He replied. --Leave her alone- --Who is this?- --Josh. Leave Hayley alone, she has nothing to do with it- --She is a home wrecker. I hate her- 'I cancelled her number on your phone so she can't contact you ever again.' He said, finally giving my phone back. I don't know why, but I started to cry. I hid my tears and went into my bunk, where I turned on my laptop and talked to some fans and read some message boards. One fan picture caught my attention. It was a small icon of me and Josh, with JOSHAYLEY written as a banner. This was something I had to know more about, so I Google-d it. 10,000 results? Uhh. I clicked on a website, there were thousands of Paramore fans wanting me and Josh together. All the pictures of us seemed to show we were close. We used to be. We are again. 'Hayley? Where are you?' Josh asked, I quickly clicked off the page and shut the lid down. 'In my bunk, but of course!' I chuckled, opening the curtain. 'We are in LA. The guys are going to the cinema, you up for it?' He asked, like he really wanted me to go. 'Sure.' I scurried down, throwing on a jacket and tying up my hair in a band. I smiled cutely in the mirror, as Josh stared. As we were walking over to the theatre, I was sure what we had been doing the last few days was called-well, potentially; flirting. NO! That would be totally wrong. I would be taking advantage of him cause he's just broken up with someone. Wait. That person was my best friend, how could I hurt her? Then I would be just as bad as her. My life was starting to confuse the heck outta me. 'Hmm. Lets go and see New Moon.' I stated, it had been out a week and we still hadn't gone to see it. 'Sounds great.' Jeremy said, going to buy some tickets. We walked into the theatre, Josh behind me the whole time. He sat next to me, his arm resting right next to mine the whole time too. AFTER THE MOVIE. 'Now I'm addicted, I need to see the third one now!!' I gasped, tugging at Josh's jacket. He laughed at my childish ways. 'C'mon! That wolf dude is totally gonna get the girl in the end!' Josh laughed, he hasn't read the books. 'Nah, the vamp gets the girl.' I stated, 'It was love.' He smiled when I said Love. Then he frowned, I bet it brought bad memories back, I tried to chase them away. 'Hey, where did the guys go?' I asked, 'Damn, we lost them!' We walked out the theatre doors but they must have gone back to the bus. 'Where are you going?' I asked, as Josh started to walk away from the path and toward a lantern filled park. 'Detour..' He whispered, pulling me by the hand to the park. It was so beautiful at night in LA. The city was warm and all you could hear was the distant traffic. I loved this moment. I don't think Josh realized he was still holding my hand, it was kinda awkward. We walked along the path and came to a swing set, the inner child in me burst out, letting go of Josh's hand. I ran toward the swing and sat, looping my arms around it. 'Want me to push you?' I shook my head. 'Sit there.' I pointed, to the other swing, 'Then it's fair.' It was like we stayed there forever, just looking at the moon sat on the swings. Like a scene from a movie. We were walking back when Josh stopped and turned to me, he looped my hand into his before leaning closer to me. This time, he really wanted to kiss me. It felt right, but it was too wrong to do this. I pulled away, inches away from his warm breath. 'Josh..' I shivered, 'You just broke up with Becca. I know you need someone, but I think you need a friend right now.' He held my hand tighter, smiling. 'I know. You are ..' He replied. 'Whatever it is you need, Josh. I pray I am.' He grinned. But I knew after his break up phase had blown over, it could go either way. He could move in on me, or we could remain the same. I hoped for everything to work it's way out. Free of anymore pain for him. 'You remind me of the first time we met, you had that same nervous laughter you do now.' Josh laughed. 'I'm not nervous, I am just confused, Josh.' He understood what I meant. Everything was confusing right now. We had only just started this tour and look what had happened.. 'Crazy idea..' Josh began, 'How bout after the tour, we take a holiday. Just us two, maybe go somewhere other than Franklin?' 'Won't it be weird? I mean, just us.. two?' His eyes rolled up, as he was thinking. He nodded, agreeing; but I took a risk anyhow. 'But yeah, I'll come with you.' I added. His eyes sparkled and he nearly killed me with a hug so tight. 'But how bout what you said, about just being us two?' 'Invite the guys, it will be heaps of fun with everyone there.' After all, we could do with the quality time. BACK IN THE BUS. 'So, are we going somewhere Hot or Cold on our holiday?' Jeremy asked. I pretended to think sarcastically. 'UMMM...Cold.' I grinned, 'Like in a lodge or something?' 'Dude, that's like the best idea ever. We could go snowboarding and skinny dipping and..' Jeremy was getting a little carried away. '4 Dudes and a girl skinny dipping. Perv.' I laughed. He blushed. Sometimes they forgot I was a girl. __________________________________________________________ Comments Plz! Updating tonight if requested...lol xo

November 18, 2009Headlights On The Highway Chapter 2
'You knew she was cheating?' He asked, with no emotion. 'No. I had no idea.' I whispered, holding him in a friendly hug, 'She doesn't know what she is letting go.' He held my face in his hands, cupping my cheeks. I thought he was going to kiss me, he leant in. Then stopped. 'I'm sorry.' He whispered, dropping his hands. 'Don't be.' I was convinced that he didn't mean to pretend to kiss me. Although I was glad he didn't. At that moment. I picked up my phone and started to compose a message to Bex.
--Your dating Josh.. remember? WTF r u doin'?-
My phone starting blazing with her ringtone, I answered with a harsh tone. 'Becca what are you thinking??!' 'Lighten up, Hayles!' She slurred, a little tipsy. Josh heard and grabbed the phone from my hands. 'Becca, it's Josh. What are you doing?' 'I'm having fun. You're a boring, stupid guy. It's about time I got out!' She was clearly drunk and didn't know what she was saying. 'We're through..' He whispered, hanging up. 'Josh? Are you alright?' He shook his head and pulled himself up to his bunk opposite mine. Morning...Yay. Not. Opening my eyes, I could smell something cooking. Like a hot pocket. Josh's favourite. He must have been awake. I slid down and made my way to the kitchen, the other guys were sound asleep, probably would be until mid morning. 'Hey.' I groaned, sitting at the small table, opposite a hungry Josh, enjoying his hot pocket. 'Hi.' He was trying to avoid the point, I could see it in his eyes. He didn't wanna discuss this. But we had too. 'Look Josh, I am going to call Becca later and ask her about last night.' I bluntly put across the table. His eyes looked up from the food. 'Kay. Just remind her we are not dating anymore, she was drunk last time we spoke.' I got up and went and threw on jeans and a tank top. The usual, picked up my phone and called Bex. 'Hey. Becca, I wanna talk to you about last night..' I began before she cut in. 'Hayley! Oh, I didn't think you would ever talk to me again. Please put Josh on the phone!' She pleaded. I walked up to Josh and gave him the sidekick phone. I could hear her cries from the bunk area. 'No!' I heard him say, 'We're over. I can't trust you anymore. No, I can't love someone like that. Goodbye.' 'Hayley. Your phone..' Josh called. 'Becca? Are you there?' I asked, taking the phone back. 'Can you talk to him, Hayley? It was a mistake.' She cried, but she wasn't fooling me at all. She lied to me. She was NOT my friend. 'How long have you been doing this, Bex?' 'About a month.' She confessed, 'I'm sorry.' 'No, I am sorry. I can't listen to your crap anymore. We're NOT friends!' I hung up and scrolled down my contacts in the phonebook, deleting her. 'You didn't have to..' He began, trying to make emends. 'Yeah, I did. Plus, she was getting on my nerves. She has been stuck up and ignoring me every since..' Whoops. Ever since.. 'Ever since we started to date?' Josh asked. I nodded, breaking a smile. 'We were never that serious, it didn't mean anything.' It was like Josh was trying to justify that what they had was nothing. 'Okay. You know I'm not gonna judge you. We ALL make mistakes.' I soothed, putting my arm around him. He flinched, not knowing whether to move or not. 'Sorry. Too soon?' I asked, he answered by shaking his head, hugging me. Jeremy walked down the isle, followed by Taylor. I saw them smiling over Josh's shoulder.

November 17, 2009*New Story* Headlights On The Highway (Joshayley)
I love my life. My friends, family. And everything else is alright I guess. My name's Hayley, Hayles or whatever new nickname my goofy best friends will come up with next. 'Rawr!' Rebecca scared me, jumping behind my car as I slid my jacket on. 'OMG! You freaking scared me, Bex.' To be honest, something else was on my mind. Josh Farro. Josh is my other best friend, but he is not available. He is dating my other best friend; Bex. I love her to bits, and him. They didn't seem like a match, but I guess opposites attract, right? They never bragged about dating, they just held hands, whispered things and he held her whenever he could. I guessed that was Love. I word I had never said. Me and Josh had been friends since we were 13, 4 years now. And it seems like just yesterday that him and Zac walked up to me and asked me to be their singer. 'I am going to miss you so much!' Bex sighed, swinging her arms over my shoulders. We were off on a 2 month tour. 'I'm gonna miss you too! But I bet Josh will miss ya more!' I joked, speak of the devil, or should I say heavenly angel. He walked over and kissed Becca on the forehead. I left them to say their goodbyes. I boarded the bus, emptying my bag, trying to make it feel like my home for the time I was here. I picked a bunk from the 6 bunks, the top one on the right. I chucked my rucksack in the bed, then slouched into the settee as the guys boarded and the driver pulled away. 'LA, Chicago, NYC, Nashville and then back home.' Josh said, planning out the time he had on tour. 'I am going to L.O.V.E this tour. Some of our favourite bands are doing warped.' I replied, but he was NOT interested. A little depressed, I got up and went for a nap. About an hour later, I was woken by shouting. I carefully pulled back the curtain to see Jeremy, Zac and Taylor fighting with Josh. 'Your clearly making her sad, Josh. Your ignoring her cause your dating her best friend.' Jeremy said. 'He is right, dude. Hayley looked like a thunderstorm when she went to bed.' Zac pitched in. 'That's what you did to her.' Taylor added, 'You turned happy Hayley into doom and gloom grim Hayley.' 'She hasn't said a word to me.' Josh shook his head, 'There's nothing wrong, we are cool.' 'She loves you, Josh. It was clear since the very beginning that she was unsure of your relationship with Becca! She was trying to look out for you, cause of Becca's rep'! But then you started loving up her best friend and she went all, blah...' Jeremy reminded him. 'Quit it, guys.' He frowned, walking down the isle of the bunks, he shut the door behind him. 'Josh.' I whispered. 'Yeah?' That was the first time he had talked to me in ages, it felt so good to hear his gentle voice. 'Please talk to me.' Then a single tear fell from my grazing green eyes, suddenly he started to cry too. He missed me just as much as I did him. Later that night... 'Are you jealous of me and Bex?' Josh asked, as we sat alone in the back room. 'I can't take what we have for granted, Josh. I don't wanna say something I'll regret.' I continued to fiddle with my phone, it suddenly beeped with a text from Becca, clearly not knowing Josh was next to me.
--At Hannah's Party, you should b here! I've kissed like 14 guys xo-
I glanced over at Josh's smile, it suddenly fell. He didn't walk away, and he didn't flinch. He just sat up and looked into my eyes.

Before its Too Late - Chapter 8
'Oh, Im sorry, Have a nice marrige!' I apologised, seeing another couple getting married. Where was he? 'Hayley?' I heard, a faint voice behind me. I saw him at once and ran into his open arms. He was as glad to see me as I was him. Then a sarcastic cough drew us apart. Zac. 'What were you thinking?' I asked, 'Getting Married to a girl you've know for 2 weeks?!' He scuffed his feet on the ground, like a kid. 'You can talk..' 'Excuse me?' I asked. 'Last I heard, you were heading down the isle with Chad, and you've only known him 6 months.' 'Six months is a lot longer than 2 weeks!' I shouted, 'And besides..I said No.' His smile widened and he became suddenly confused. 'I don't know why you're here..' He confessed. What was I gonna tell him? I love love love you and want you to change your whole life around me? Yeah, I was. 'Maybe this will explain everything.' I whispered, 'I hope it will.' I pulled his face to mine and intertwined our fingers as we kissed. It only lasted a second before another 'cough' was heard. 'I love you.' Woah, he said it first? I smiled, trying to bring the same words out. 'I love you too, Josh.' 2 MONTHS LATER ... 'You look beautiful!' My best friend Anna whispered, as I pulled my white wedding dress down the stairs to the wedding car. It was perfect. I looked perfect. I was getting Married...to Josh. The car ride was beautiful scenery, we were getting married in a church in a beautiful meadow landscape. My Mom was there to greet me, but people were figiting and whispering as I peeked in the door. 'Mom? Where is Josh?' I asked, seeing her worried face. 'Im sorry, Hayley.' She whispered, 'He's gone.' 'He left?' I whimpered, 'You mean he had cold feet?' 'No..' She stuttered. Suddenly, Jeremy and Taylor wearing suits came out of the door, distracted for seconds my the skin tight dress, then continuing. 'It was Chad. He's got Josh.' _____________________________________________________ OMG! Chapter 9 is the last chapter! Comments Please! xo

Before its Too Late - Chapter 7
As I got into my car, all I could think of was Josh. Why had all these feelings come back so sudden? I thought I loved Chad, I mean I still do, don't I ? Jeez, get a grip Hayley. Drive! It was only 2 hours to TN, I could do this. I turned on the radio and Gwen Stefani - Cool was on. That perfectly described mine and Josh's relationship. But we weren't cool. I eventually pulled up outside Josh and Zac's home. I locked the car and jogged along the pavement, remembering what I was wearing. Sweats. Uhh. 'Hayley? What the crap are you doing here?' Zac asked, as I pushed past him. 'Where is Josh?' I asked, 'WHERE IS HE?' Zac pulled a serious face. 'Hayley, why are you here? Just answer that.' 'I love him, Zac.' I puffed, out of breath. 'Josh is on his way to.. Vegas.' He said, 'He thought the only way to get over you was to marry his girlfriend.' 'Girlfriend? Josh is dating someone?' 'Her name is Lisa, he's only been seeing her for two weeks since you were in LA.' He stuttered, 'Then he heard Chad had proposed, and he went..' 'When did he leave for Vegas?!!' I exclaimed. 'About an hour ago, if you take a flight, you can stop him.' Zac said, helping me out. He grabbed his coat and we dived into my car. The drive to the airport was agony, right now, Josh was thinking of me while marrying a stranger. 'One ticket...' I began, hearing Zac cough sarcastically, 'Two tickets to Las Vegas.' I glared at Zac. 'Hey! I wanna know how this turns out!' We were on the next flight, cause the assistants niece was a Paramore fan. It rules to be me. On the plane, I wrote a letter, that I would post to Chad. Chad. I love you. But I can't pretend you are the love of my life. I can't except your proposal, I'm in love with someone else. I'll talk to you when I get back, I am out of town. Love Always, Hayley. Truth be told, the letter was simple to write. 'Now landing in Las Vegas!' Shouted a speaker. We were here. Hallelujah. Me and Zac jumped in a cab and the driver seemed to know where it was. We let him do the driving fast. 'The Chapel.' He coughed, 'That's 20 bucks.' Zac coughed up, I ran up to the door, seeing the notice 'Married' on the door. 'Hurry!' Zac shouted, pushing the door. I ran through another pair of white doors, and more doors. Where was he? A small woman with glasses, was walking toward me. 'Where do people get married?' I asked, gasping for air. 'Aww! You two getting hitched? Second door on the left!' She smiled, out of her mind. I ran as fast as my feet could carry me.
Running and running, I hit the doors flat.
'I now pronounce you husband and wife..' Gulp.

Before its Too Late - Chapter 7 *A Must read*
Fast forwarded time from 2006 to 2009. Years have passed and Paramore is now one of the biggest rock bands around. Memories and Friendships bond the members. Some more than others... 'Hayley. You didn't answer me..' Chad said, holding the diamond ring in my face. I panicked at the site of it. I couldn't do this again. 'Im sorry, Chad. Lemme think about it. I love you but I just can't decide yet.' I replied, he understood. I let Chad out of my apartment and closed the door. Uh. Living alone sucked. I hadn't always lived alone, my once boyfriend and best friend once lived with me. That was a year ago. I walked through to my bedroom and rumaged under the bed and dug out an old 'Tour Memories' box. Opening it, I saw a little picture frame, of me and Josh. He had given it to me before we split, before the whole Twilight thing. I stared into the frame, running my fingers over the cracks in the picture. Suddenly a little envelope fell out of the back. It was adressed, 'Hayles.' Hayles, By the time you read this. It will probably be years in the future. Maybe Im reading this with you, I dunno. Its just turned the 1st of January 2007. If you remember, I took you to the Franklin Park where we had our first date and we watched the fireworks on New Years. That was the night we really fell for each other. I'll remember that forever. Maybe we'll go there again some day, after tours, if Paramore hasnt failed. Love you forever <3 Josh
Tears fell from my eyes as I read the last line. I never knew this letter existed. Yeah, we had broken up a year ago, but I'd always love him. He was my first love. He was still single, Josh. Only I started dating Chad six months ago and he proposed to me, just like Josh almost did.. FLASHBACK: Walking across the path, the yellow cabs lit up the NYC buildings. We walked hand in hand, back from a meal in some fancy resteraunt when Josh paused and knelt down on one knee, not saying a word. A small tear shead from my eye. I was 19. Too young to remember what I was letting go. I fumled back throught the box, then closed it tight. 'Whats up?' A voice asked, scaring me to death. 'Oh my god, Jeremy. You freaking scared me!' I shouted, 'Anyways, Im just looking at old tour stuff.' 'From 07'? Woah, that was the best tour year.' He picked up the picture of me and Josh and unveiled the letter. He glared over at me, and spoke in a soft voice. 'This is hard stuff, Hayles. You know he still feels that way.' I frowned and snatched it back, 'I know. I kinda do to. But you remember why we broke up. He would never take me back after I said No to his proposal.' 'I bumped into Chad in the car park, he looked really sad. What did you do?' 'He asked to marry me. But Im going to say No.' I knelt down and pushed the box back under the bed, 'Im breaking up with him.' Jeremy looked shocked. 'Woah. Why?' 'If you love someone enough, you would know you wanted to say yes. But the only person I wanna say yes to is Josh.' I blurted out, 'Where is he?' Jeremy froze, I shook him. 'WHERE IS HE?' 'Hes in Franklin, Hayley. With his family.' Duh. That was my fault for moving to LA. I threw a few things in a bag and drove to the airport. im coming Josh... ________________________________________________ What do u think? Silver xo Comments Please

November 14, 2009Joshayley One Shot - Bad RomanceAnother Joshayley one shot. Before its too late will be updated tomorrow. Enjoy!
I guess thats what I attracted. Bad Romance. I could never hold a relationship, until I met Josh. Well, he had just moved to my school; Fairland High, and he didn't know about my rep. Thats why he talked to me. 'Hey Josh. I wouldn't talk to Hayley, unless you want her to jump you..' a guy shouted, I cringed into my locker. 'What is that all about.' Josh asked, sorta smiling, what did he FIND funny?! 'Its better if I tell you in private. Just let me tell you, later.' I smiled, walking to my next class. But at lunch Josh knew more than I did. 'Hey. Whatcha eating?' I asked, scooting next to him with my sandwich. 'Nothing.' He said, dropping his candy bar, about to get up. 'W...wait.' I asked, 'What have I done?' 'Ryan from my maths class told me to steer clear of you, so I asked him why.' He whispered, 'Now I wish I hadn't.' 'You know?' I blushed, 'That was in the past Josh, Im different now.' 'I dunno if I can believe you.' He shook his head, 'I'll see you later.' We had only been dating a month and I couldn't tell him. FLASHBACK.. Hayley strutted down the hallway wearing a short skirt shorter than a ruler. A really tight crop top and her hair bouncing with vuluctious curls. Her sandals added height to her long smooth legs. Whistles were exclaimed as she continued to strut. Several girls envied her. She walked upto a guy she hardly knew and kissed his face off. He kissed her back, loving every moment. They shacked up later that night. The whore had left the building. BACK TO THE PRESENT I sat in my room, looking at old photographs. Me, drunk at a party with a guy. Me, kissing a guy. Me, just plain drunk. Beep! Beep! 'Hello? Josh?' 'Yeah, Hayles?' 'Im so sorry I didn't tell you. I was so bad back then. But I really have changed, babes.' 'Hayley, I love you. I don't care about your bad romance.' 'Really? I love you to.' THE NEXT DAY. I walked into school, my hand interwined in Josh's as we walked down the corridor, flashbacks haunted my mind. Suddenly a load of laughter hit me. All around me, people were holding pictures of me, naked at a party, with... a guy.. 'Oh God. Please let this be a dream, a really bad one.' Josh took me back outside, picking up a paper. 'Whats this?' He asked, 'I.' 'Im so sorry, the thing is I dont even remember it.' I apologised. 'Its a good picture, mind.' He laughed, I snatched it off him. 'Ha Ha' 'You don't wanna be known as the whore's boyfriend, Josh.' I whispered. He smiled and kissed my cheek. 'I want your bad romance.' He whispered, as we walked into the school. _____________________________________________________ I know it was really bad. OMG sorry. Comments anyway ...

November 13, 2009Before its Too Late - Chapter 6This is the chapter where Josh and Hayley are still 16. In chapter 7, it will be years later.
I really didn't know where we were. It was a two story building with boarded up buildings. Maybe it was a house or something, or Josh had brought me here to do some volunteer work. As if. 'Why are we, um.. here?' I asked, puzzled. 'It's raining, c'mon!' He shouted, I almost forgot my hair forming into a drench of red locks. 'Uhh!' Josh exclaimed, hitting the door through. Inside the building, it wasn't old, it was quite tidy. It was a plain concrete floor, with a sofa and chairs with dust sheets over them. There were stairs over the side which led upstairs, I didn't notice them to well. 'I think the rain wont last long, lets just dry off.' Josh said, grabbing a towel from the box next to the door. 'I got a little scared,' I confessed, 'I wasn't sure why you brought me to, well, here..' 'Only until it stops raining, I can't take you to the surprise place while it's wet.' He laughed, hiding the sites we were about to see. There was an awkward silence for a few minutes, as I stood, being patted down with a towel by Josh. 'Okay, I think I am dry..' I said, pulling my phone from my pocket. 'No signal?' Josh asked, I nodded. Josh pulled a dustsheet off the sofa and invited me to sit next to him. 'Hey. We're actually alone. Though it's not a proper date.' Josh giggled, I loved that laugh. He made the corners of my mouth turn up to a smile. 'Hmm, yeah.' I said, things were still pretty awkward. 'Hayley, I really like you.' I heard, making my head spin 90 degrees. I really liked him too. Ever since I met Josh, 2 months ago, it seems like just yesterday I saw his big brown eyes beam with happiness that I was his new neighbour. 'I really like you too, Josh. Your amazing.' I replied, in a tone I thought was normal, though came out quite seductive. Josh's eyes pulled to my lips, he crashed against them, pulling me back against the sofa. His lips were warm, although his lip ring felt like ice on my lips. His arms were like glue on my waist during our make out session. His hand suddenly slid up the back of my shirt, I stopped him. 'It's stopped raining!' I jumped, annoying him a little. We were teenagers, we really couldn't help our feelings. 'I guess it's time for that surprise!' He laughed, pecking my lips with a loving kiss. Something was developing, a strong bond. We jumped back on the scooter, the ground was a little dry but was beginning to crisp as we arrived at a tented park. It was 2pm. Jimmy eat world was in 5 hours. 'This is Franklin's best festival, and I wanna take you somewhere special in here.' He dragged me through the tents, people staring at my drenched hair. We suddenly arrived at a little hut and we ducked inside. 'Surprise.' Josh whispered, unveiling the magic. Before me was a dark room, filled with little mini lights dotted around the room. A small picnic blanket lead on the ground in the middle of the room. 'Josh...' I whimpered, 'This is for us?' 'Yeah. This is one first date you'll never forget, right?' I smiled at his boyish ways. ... it was 6.30. I was home, in my room, getting ready for the concert in half an hour. My hair had been tied up and I put on a Jimmy Eat World tee and threw converses on. Toot! Toot! Jeremy's car sounded from outside, I looked out the window and saw Zac, Jeremy and Josh waiting in the car. *Concert* Sweetness blared as Josh and Me danced along with the crowd, though they were awesome, Josh had his eyes on me. I glanced over but he looked away. *Home* Jeremy drove away, waving from the window, and Zac was falling asleep into his home. Josh walked me to my door. 'I caught you.' I whispered, 'During the concert, looking at me.' 'Your beautiful, duh. Can you blame me?' 'No..' I laughed, hugging him, my arms around his neck. I pulled him into a kiss. I was definitely not a "see ya around hayles" kiss. It was a lets-take-things-elsewhere kiss. But that couldn't happen. 'Goodnight Josh. I..I'll see you tomorrow.' What I wanted to say, "I love You" wouldn't come out. 'Night, Hayles.' I couldn't believe the luck Franklin had brought me. And being head over heels, could only get better. __________________________________________ Can't believe how long this took. But next time, time will fast forward to a letter Hayley writes to Josh. Before its Too Late - Chapter 5
ENJOY!
Hayley's POV Weeks had passed since Jeremy took his 'short' visit and ended up staying with relatives not far away. We had already got so many song ideas, and we had created at least 5 good songs, with catchy riffs and awesome lyrics. We were the next big thing, we just needed a name.. 'How bout .. The Franklins?' Jeremy giggled, coming up with random names. 'Seriously, I have a name.. how bout Paramour? It was the guy who used to live in my house's last name.' I replied, 'But maybe change it to more, instead of mour?' 'Thats amazing!' A thrilled Josh leant to hug me, then leant back. Since we started out band, we had no time to continue our relationship, if that's what it was. We only kissed and watched movies. You can hardly call that a relationship. 'Wow.. it's kinda getting late, maybe you should head home, Jer.' Looking at my watch, it was nearly midnight. 'Yeah, I'll be back tomorrow, maybe we can do some more practise?' 'No way! Tomorrow night we are going to see Jimmy Eat World play in Franklin Park!' I exclaimed, 'Okay!' 'How about in the day? We could still practise..' Jeremy was working way to hard. 'Give yourself a break, Jeremy. Anyway, I .. I mean we have plans tomorrow.' I said, standing closer to Josh, gripping his hand tightly, interloping our fingers. 'Aww, guys!' Zac laughed, 'You could have said so..' 'I'll see you tomorrow.' Jeremy chuckled and jumped in his car. Zac took the hint and went into his house. 'You planned a date for us? Unless..' I stopped Josh in his tracks, crushing his lips with mine. 'That's a taste of the day we are gonna have tomorrow. Im planning on seeing everything in Franklin, and you are gonna show me!' 'So I can still surprise you, then..' Josh whispered in my ear, tucking my hair behind my ear, gently kissing my neck. 'Hey!' I laughed, 'C'mon we have to get sleep before our day of adventure tomorrow.' 'Really? Can't we just stay out?' I shook my head. 'Goodnight Mr Farro.' I smiled. 'Goodnight Hayley.' He whispered, seeing Zac watching from the window, he kissed my forehead and walked me home. The next day...Hayles POV * I stretched and kicked off the blankets, thrilled for the day ahead of me. It was just before 10am, I had to be ready by 11. Looking at the window, my curtains were still closed, pulling them, I saw Josh's still closed. I know I was late waking but had he forgotten? I didn't know what kind of day we were heading for, if we were, so I threw on skinny black jeans and a long dress-t-shirt in a purple colour. I straightened my wavy red hair and went to grab my shoes, still seeing Josh's curtains closed. I swear I saw them move once or twice, but it had to be a mistake. So then I decided, I had to call him. 'Josh, it's nearly 11, are you ready?' 'Oh.. Yeah, um I'll be there now.' He said, unsure. Little did I know. KNOCK KNOCK! That had to be a mistake, it wasn't him. I walked down the stairs and swung open the front door, standing outside in the sunshine was Josh, perfectly made up with a bunch of lilies in his hand. It was like a movie moment. 'Wow.. their beautiful, Josh. I love them.' 'Did you think I wasn't coming?' He asked, handing the flowers over. He followed me to the kitchen and I put them in a vase of water. 'Your curtains were closed, I thought wrong..' 'I didn't wanna give anything away,' He said sheepishly, 'But I made sure you were ready, I did a little peaking.' 'You were spying on me?' I asked, slapping his arm. 'At least this time I didn't catch you naked.' 'Ha, okay...' I laughed. We jumped onto Josh's scooter-bike-thingy and headed out to Franklin. We passed so many places, but Josh kept going. I kept my arms tight around him all the way, leaning my head on his back. Suddenly it started to rain and Josh pulled over into an abandoned building. What the heck were we doing here? 'We're here...' Josh whispered.
